Trinidad Carnival

The Monday and Tuesday before Ash Wednesday(Lent) in Trinidad and Tobago is the annual Carnival. Known for the participants wearing colorful costumes, sometimes feathered or winged, and packing the streets often to the beat of Calypso Music. The style of celebration seen here has spread to several cities across the world with large populations of immigrants from the islands such as New York, London, and Toronto, though sometimes held during different times of year. Carnival occurs all over the islands though most celebrations are concentrated in several main areas including Downtown Port of Spain. Less than 10min from Carolyn’s View by car. Rooms during Carnival are scarce and therefore more expensive. Book as far in advance as possible if you want to be part of the biggest party in the islands! ‍
